פָּנָה
pânâh · paw-naw' · verb · “to turn, face”
Panah means to turn or face — to turn toward someone or something, including the great call to turn to the LORD.
Panah is to turn or face — physical orientation that becomes a spiritual picture. To turn one’s face toward someone is to give them attention; to turn away is to refuse.
The prophets call Israel to “turn (panah) to me, and be saved.” Biblical repentance is partly a turning of the face — away from idols, toward the living God.
Definition: to turn; by implication, to face, i.e. appear, look, etc.
KJV usage: appear, at (even-) tide, behold, cast out, come on, [idiom] corner, dawning, empty, go away, lie, look, mark, pass away, prepare, regard, (have) respect (to), (re-) turn (aside, away, back, face, self), [idiom] right (early).
