Mount Sinai

The mountain where God gave Moses the Law, including the Ten Commandments, and made his covenant with Israel.

After the exodus, Israel camped at Sinai (also called Horeb), where God descended in fire and cloud and spoke the Ten Commandments.

There the covenant was sealed and the tabernacle instructions given. Sinai marks the birth of Israel as God’s covenant nation.
