Samuel
The last judge and a prophet who anointed Israel’s first kings, Saul and David.
Given to God by his mother Hannah, Samuel heard God’s voice as a boy: ‘Speak, for your servant is listening.’ He led Israel faithfully as judge and prophet.
He anointed Saul and later David as king, bridging the era of the judges and the monarchy.
