Adam

The first man, created by God in his image, whose disobedience brought sin and death into the world.

God formed Adam from the dust, breathed life into him, and placed him in Eden to work and keep it. Adam named the animals and was given Eve as his companion.

Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit, bringing sin, shame, and death. Paul contrasts Adam with Christ, the ‘last Adam,’ who brings life.
